Survive & Thrive Program

Survive and Thrive is a unique program designed with the help of CDFI fund to assist most economically distressed counties of central Texas. The program will provide industry specific business and technical trainings to individuals from Blanco, McCulloch, Mason, Milam, and San Saba counties.

The program offers business planning, marketing, project management, financial management and accounting courses specific to following industry areas:

  • Construction/interior design
  • Transportation
  • Retail
  • Service sectors

Trainings & Services:

All BiGAUSTIN’s trainings will be customized to address industry specific needs. Training and services include but not limited to –

In addition to above trainings, BiGAUSTIN will also provide technical trainings, in-depth one on one counseling and microloan assistance. Our goal is to increase loan approval rate of program participants.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be located in any of listed counties below –
    • Blanco
    • McCulloch
    • Mason
    • Milam
    • San Saba


  • Economically distressed areas of Travis, Williamson, Hays of Bastrop counties

*An economically distressed area is one which has a median household income that is not greater than 75% of the median state household income.

After eligibility verification, we will conduct a needs assessment to determine what training or services will be most suitable for you. BiGAUSTIN recognizes that transportation is one of the major hurdle for many low income entrepreneurs. To address this problem, we will also provide training online or reach out to your locality.
