With a short crop hair-do, a blue linen shirt, and a thin simple gold ring as her only adornment, Nina Gordon tells me about her career transition from social worker to business owner.

“I was working as a social worker, and thought,

‘I can’t do this every day for the rest of my life.’

“I started going through the book, ‘The Artist’s Way’ and it was the catalyst for me to discover what I really wanted to do. It helped me break down the fear I had of starting my own business.

“What has surprised me the most is how many people resonate with my story. This boutique has become a space for people to say, ‘Yes, I want to start my own company.”

Taking heart is the opposite of giving into fear.
